Purpose Built
Our new purpose built cattery is designed and installed by Peticular Pens and built to Defra’s higher specification including thermostatically controlled heating to meet the new 5 star standard for licenced catteries. The state of the art design allows the safety corridor, without compromising safety measures, to be opened up to the elements during summer months allowing it to feel like being outside but during inclement weather enclosed to keep guests warm and snug.
Each chalet is designed for up to 2 cats with a couple of chalets large enough to accommodate up to 4 cats from the same home.
Each of our chalets has its own private covered exercise area with a exploration shelf which includes a built in ramp down to floor level to aid elderly cats to second level shelves. The individual chalet exercise area is accessed via a covered safety corridor which runs the length of the cattery.
Beyond the individual exercise area can be found a separate 'A' rated sleeping area which includes a thermostatically controlled ceiling-mounted heater and extraction fan, to ensure a comfortable consistent temperature is managed throughout hot & cold days just as if your cat were at home.
In the heart of the countryside
Each sleeping area includes 2 shelves at different levels with a viewing window to the rear overlooking open farm land. Guests own sleeping basket can be brought to help make them feel at home, but beds and bedding can also be provided if required. An additional cat snuggle bed is provided on the observation shelf to ensure your cats are comfy as they gaze across the open countryside. Each chalet also has scratching posts and cat toy to ensure your cat has an enjoyable stay as well as cat litter trays and litter provided included in the daily fee.
Each chalet is thoroughly cleansed between guests and kept to the same high standard throughout the stay. Sneeze barriers between each chalet ensure that cats have no direct contact between neighbouring chalets. Litter trays are checked frequently throughout the day and cleaned as required.
A range of popular cat feeds are available. We do aim to give our guests their normal diet. If your cat is on a specialist diet then please bring enough with you to last your cats stay on arrival. Fresh drinking water is available at all times.
